The Sculptress

Neelu earned all the laurels without any formal training in her creative pursuits - sculpting-to murals -to interior - to exterior designs - to landscaping. All happened naturally to her- inborn qualities spoke vividly in shapes and forms that found their pride of place over her emotive outreach to people and places; the former Prime Minister of India, Late Rajiv Gandhi and the former US President Sr. George Bush have her sculptures in their proud collections!

Her creations are widely acclaimed in India and overseas. She was selected from over 100 entries for the INAMI INTERNATIONAL WOOD CARVERS CAMP, JAPAN. There, among 19 participating countries, her work was adjudged the second best globally and the very best in Asia. She traveled deeply in to various forests in the western part of India, more so in Gujarat where she could identify the right tree trunks!!

Even at the Wood Carvers Camp, Czech Republic, her work was highly appreciated and her sculpture was put on public display at the Town Church. She was invited to Lithuania and Ukraine where her creations speak of a quality of work India can be proud of. 

She selects a medium that suits better for the environment and makes it look more natural and more beautiful. She is a Sculptress, a designer and a conceptualist for interior and exterior designs and Public Art Projects.

She is a versatile Artist from India and many senior contemporary Artists commended her work and recommended her for various awards and rewards, nationally and internationally. She gets raving reviews in leading national and international News Papers on Tree trunk Sculptures and gets periodical reviews and interviews telecast by local, national and international television net work.
